Associate Scientist

An exciting opportunity for a laboratory Associate Scientist to join a small, fast paced research team dedicated to discovering next generation therapeutics for patients.

We are looking for an Associate Scientist to join our team at our new, state of the art laboratory facility. This is a full time laboratory based role, 5 days a week in Canary Wharf in London.

Purpose

A junior lab-based role focused on supporting the wider R&D team, contributing to the characterisation of antibody hits and identification of lead candidates to meet the objectives of the Company’s R&D plan. The Associate Scientist will collaborate with the R&D team to culture primary and transformed cell lines, as well as develop and execute cell-based assays to support the R&D workflow. This includes performing established SOPs to support screening of novel hits using biologics i.e. monoclonal antibodies and bispecifics, as well developing complex assays using primary immune cells, to support the translation and determine the mechanisms of action of therapeutic antibodies and their effects on the function of innate and adaptive immune cells in healthy and disease settings. This role is primarily laboratory based, and training will be provided where required. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, fast paced team that is dedicated to delivering next generation therapeutics to patients.

  • Support development of complex co-culture assays to explore functional and phenotypic responses of novel therapeutic antibodies
  • Contribute to building work packages to support agreed timelines and objectives by performing and analysing in vitro assays
  • Support complex scientific research of R&D team by generating data and presenting to the wider team on a regular basis
  • Proactively support the whole R&D team and actively contribute to the smooth running of the laboratory
